Fieldwork FIELDWORK:

"A refreshingly forward look at English folk history": Mojo magazine. Alongside guitar, harmonium, fiddle, melodeon, and mandolin, Fieldwork feature a battery of percussion and other unusual instruments (tongue-drum, mbira, and gopichand) which lend an exotic touch, both visually and sonically, to their innovative brand of English, Irish and European folk music.

During the last two years they have undertaken two short tours in Brittany, and have received critical acclaim for their third C.D. 'Make Me One With Everything'.

Redstart:

'Songs and Tunes from the Celtic Tradition and beyond'. An East Midlands based multi-instrumental 3 piece band comprising: Cath Mackie -Lead Vocals, Fiddle, Piano; Patrick Gray - Fiddle; Steve Bailey - Guitar, Backing Vocals, Melodeon .

Redstart Redstart have been performing concerts, festivals, folk clubs, ceilidh venues and pubs for around 10 years. They are known for their lively, innovative and interesting arrangements of sets of largely Celtic tunes, together with Irish, English and American traditional and contemporary songs. They have released 2 CDs 'Skip Like a Stone' (1997) and Kitchen Music (2001) and are currently working on a third album.

bandicoot BandicooT!:

An exciting three piece acoustic band based in Leicester playing music and songs from a wide range of folk/world music traditions. Their music includes elements of English, Irish, Klezmer, Arabic and Central European Folk music traditions as well as their own songs and tunes arranged in the traditional mould. Tim Garland - Vocals, Cittern, Fiddle, Guitar, percussion; Kate Evatt - Vocals, Fiddle; Martin Slipp - Vocals, Double Bass, Percussion.
