Ryburn 4

A classy selection of mainly English traditional songs and tunes featuring strong and stylish solo voices and distinctive harmonies accompanied by melodeon, hammer dulcimer, fiddle, banjo, bouzouki and duet concertina plus percussive feet.

Pete & Chris toured and recorded as a duo, were members of Bandoggs (with Nic Jones and Tony Rose) and Johnny was founder of the Druids and a member of Muckram Wakes then joining up with Pete and Chris in the legendary New Victory Band and later Red Shift.

They are based in the Ryburn Valley in West Yorkshire where they organise regular folk events. At Sidmouth, Towersey, the National & Cheltenham Festivals their performances have been among the highlights.

N.B. They will also be running Tall Tailes, an event for 6 to 11 year olds, at 14:00 in the Y Dance Studio. The emphasis will be on participation - songs with choruses and actions, singing games and dances. Children and adults 'Tall Tailes' tickets each cost £3. Children should be accompanied.

Folk concerts don't come any better than this. Book early to avoid disappointment.
